This project will rehabilitate the network in Las Tunas City, the Puerto Padre-Delicias-Chapara region, and the municipality of Manati. Works will include the following: replacement of approximately 575 km of pipes; rehabilitation of wells, purification equipment and reservoirs; repair of pumping stations and fitting out with submersible water pumps; contruction of six water; purchase of around 75,000 water meters for new household connections; and procurement of maintenance equipment. On completion, the revamped system will benefit at least 200,000 people through the provision of a constant supply of safe drinking water.
