This project will carry out the following activities:

  • repair of an 86 km portion of the deteriorated Kenema–Pendembu earth road;
  • construction of drainage structures to prevent flooding;
  • construction of a 116 m-long bridge accross the Moa River and 225 m-long bridge over the Mahoi River;
  • provision of road markings and signs, fencing and guardrails.
Once the project is completed, the population will be able to enjoy a more reliable and efficient means of transport, especially to schools, health clinics and other essential services.
