To help alleviate poverty and enhance food security in the eastern and southern part of the country; namely, Kindia, Mamou, Faranah and Kankan regions. In all, around 800,000 people are expected to benefit from the project. Works to be carried out include: hydro-agricultural improvements and infrastructure works for the production of vegetables and pineapples construction of 350km rural roads water supply infrastructure to circa 450 villages, with an estimated population of 1.4 million agricultural production support improve producers' access to markets, through the construction and rehabilitation of rural infrastructure strengthening institutional capacity PIU support and consultancy services
