The grant supported the provision of emergency basic health services for Syrian conflict-affected population. Over 50,000 vulnerable women, men and children directly benefited from this intervention through enhanced access to quality health care services provided by operational Mobile Health Units in the targeted areas, and the provision of essential medicines where most needed. Through this intervention, the number of mobile health units increased for outreach to three locations facing access difficulties and contributed to ensure availability of essential medical stocks and provided resources that support the operations of 35 health facilities across Syria. Most of the population these health facilities serve are internally displaced children, women and men, most of the patients are women and 40 per cent are children. In specific, it contributed to: - ensure availability of medical stocks including medicines and medical equipment in the IFRC network of fixed and mobile health facilities operated by SARC in most affected areas; - procure and deliver three Mobile Health Units; - contributed partially the cost of five ambulances; - supported the operations of mobile health unit.
