The grant aims to improve livelihoods through rehabilitated rangelands and reduced land degradationin the marginal dry rangeland areas of Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, Algeria and Libya. This will be achieved through developing an institutional framework suitable for community-based implementation, identifying, testing and verifying equitable and efficient tenure arrangements and assessing the effectiveness of alternative water harvesting techniques.
