This project will fully rehabilitate the Bura irrigation scheme which will include a resettlement scheme for over 2,500 households and establishment of a credit plan that will provide small farmers with inputs such as seeds, fertilizer and chemicals. On completion the project will enable the delivery of reliable irrigation water for some 5,500 hectares, thereby enabling the production of high-value cash crops and subsequently boost living standards and raise food security.
