This project aims at enhancing access to safe drinking water for rural populations living in Chad’s pastoral areas. It will entail building local capacities on designing adapted and improved artificial ponds (Haffirs); water treatment systems for the population and livestock; in addition to providing technical support to enable the local institutions to operate and replicate those solutions. This project will be implemented within the framework of the IsDB’s Reverse Linkage Programme; a South-South cooperation initiative whereby Member Countries themselves take the lead in the provision of specific expertise, knowledge, investments and best practices as ‘Provider’ partners.
